A Pop-Tart inspired by orange soda is the latest unlikely object to emerge from Pop-Tarts and Liquid Death’s partnership. Their new Squeezed to Death Frosted Orange toaster pastry has a golden-orange crust, citrus jam filling, frosting and orange sprinkles, turning a beverage flavor into a breakfast snack.

Announced on October 27, the limited-time product reverses the brands’ earlier collaboration. In April 2026, Liquid Death made an iced tea inspired by Frosted Strawberry Pop-Tarts. This time, Pop-Tarts is borrowing from Liquid Death’s Squeezed to Death Orange soda-flavored sparkling water.

From orange sparkling water to frosted pastry

The new pastry is designed to evoke orange and sugar-cookie flavors. According to the brands, its flaky crust has a buttery, sugar-cookie character, while the filling brings a brighter citrus note. The orange sprinkles carry the flavor idea onto the surface, making the product’s difference visible before the first bite.

It is also a recognizable meeting of brand personalities: Pop-Tarts supplies the familiar rectangular pastry, while Liquid Death brings its irreverent naming and deliberately abrasive marketing voice. This is a physical flavor crossover rather than a conventional co-branded advertisement.

The Bad Morning Alarm Clock extends the joke

Alongside the pastry, the brands unveiled the Bad Morning Alarm Clock, a limited collectible made to deliver an unpleasant wake-up call. Its reported sounds include screams, dental drills, car horns, smoke alarms and metal scraping. The giveaway turns the familiar breakfast ritual into the same kind of mischievous spectacle that Liquid Death regularly builds around products.

Entry runs from October 28 at 10 a.m. ET through October 30 at 5 p.m. ET. Eligible US participants can follow Pop-Tarts on Instagram or TikTok, like the designated giveaway post and tag a friend who is not a morning person using #PopTartsBadMorningGiveaway. The company says only a handful of clocks are available, and the promotion is subject to its official rules.

Where and when shoppers can buy it

The toaster pastries are scheduled to arrive at participating US retailers starting in November 2026, with suggested prices of US$4.69 for a 12-count box and US$4.97 for a 16-count box. Retailer availability may vary, and the companies have not specified how long the limited-time flavor will stay on shelves.

The release gives the partnership a two-way product story: Pop-Tarts first became the flavor of a Liquid Death beverage, and Liquid Death now becomes the inspiration for a Pop-Tarts pastry. Each launch offers a different physical format for the same collaboration.

What marketers can learn from Pop-Tarts and Liquid Death’s flavor swap

The useful creative principle is reciprocity. Rather than repeating a logo-on-pack collaboration, the brands have translated a distinctive flavor from one product category into another. That gives consumers an easy-to-understand reason why the second release exists.

The alarm clock adds a separate collectible and participation mechanic without displacing the pastry as the centerpiece. It may help generate conversation around the launch, but neither brand has published sales, reach or engagement results for the new product. Its commercial impact remains unproven.
