MR.DIY is bringing KPop Demon Hunters into Malaysia’s everyday shopping aisles with a character-inspired merchandise collection and a HUNTRIX-branded bag promotion. Rather than a one-off fan event, the retail campaign gives shoppers physical items to collect and a purchase-linked reward to take home.
The collection is available at participating MR.DIY stores, while the retailer’s November 4 campaign video also points shoppers to MR.TOY. The offer runs through December 31, 2026, subject to stock availability.
In this article: The character merchandise, the HUNTRIX bag incentive, and the retail strategy behind the collaboration.
Character-inspired merchandise moves into everyday retail
MR.DIY describes its range as products inspired by the characters and world of Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters. The brand positions the items as additions to fans’ collections and as gifts, using a familiar entertainment property to give routine store visits a collectible angle.

The official campaign page displays multiple promotional visuals for the collection. It does not provide a complete item-by-item product inventory in its accompanying text, so the exact selection may vary by participating location.
A HUNTRIX bag makes the purchase a reward
The campaign adds a straightforward gift-with-purchase mechanic. Customers spending at least RM30 on KPop Demon Hunters products in a single receipt are entitled to a free HUNTRIX bag, while stocks last and subject to terms and conditions.

The bag gives shoppers a tangible reason to reach the qualifying spend threshold. It also turns a transaction into an additional branded keepsake, although MR.DIY has not disclosed how many bags will be available or any campaign sales results.
The Malaysia rollout extends through December
The campaign began on October 15 in West Malaysia and November 1 in East Malaysia. Both regional periods end December 31, 2026. MR.DIY specifies participating stores and stock limits, and its official video notes that prices may differ in East Malaysia.
The retailer published a promotional video titled “MR.DIY Kpop Demon Hunter: Join The Hunt in Style!” on November 4, directing fans to MR.DIY and MR.TOY stores for the lineup.
What marketers can learn from MR.DIY’s collectible retail offer
The distinctive part of this collaboration is the pairing of affordable everyday retail with entertainment-led collecting. Character merchandise provides the initial draw, while the HUNTRIX bag creates a clear reason to purchase multiple eligible items in one visit.
For marketers, it illustrates how a familiar licensed property can be activated through an accessible shopping destination rather than an elaborate pop-up. The campaign’s commercial effectiveness remains unverified without basket-size, redemption or sales figures.
